EN 57 Menu setting method Whenyouselect[1file]: 1 Press the + or - button to select the file you want to move or copy. 2 Press the OK button to select the file. Whenyouselect[Selected files]: 1 Press the + or - button to select the file you want to move or copy. 2 Press the OK or 9 button to check the file(s) selected. 9 PresstheFbutton. · [Moving!] or [Copying!] will appear on the display and moving or copying will start. During the process, the progress status will be shown in percentage. The process is completed when [Filemovecompleted] or [File copycompleted] is displayed. 4 Menu setting method EN Whenyouselect[All files]: When all files are selected, all the files in the folder will be automatically selected and the recorder will move to the [Foldertomove] screen. Proceed to Step 8. 7 PresstheFbutton. The recorder will move to the [Folder tomove] screen. 8 Pressthe9, 0or+, - buttontoselectthefolderyou wanttomoveorcopythefileto. 58 Notes · The recorder cannot copy when the memory capacity is not sufficient. · The recorder cannot move or copy when the number of file exceeds 999. · Do not remove the batteries during moving or copying. · A file cannot be moved or copied to the same folder. · When the operation is cancelled during moving or copying, only the file that is being moved or copied is effective, all other files will become not effective. · Files which are locked will remain so even after they are moved or copied. · DRM files cannot be moved or copied. · Files cannot be moved or copied directly under the [Recorder] folder. Menu setting method Splitting Files [File Divide] (For DM-550) PCM files recorded in this recorder can be split. Files with large capacities and long recording times can be split so that they are easier to manage and edit. 3 Pressthe+buttontoselect [Start]andthenpresstheOK button. · [Dividing!] will be displayed and file splitting will start. Splitting is completed when [Filedivide completed] is displayed. +-button OK button 4 Menu setting method 1 SelectthePCMfileyouwantto split, playorfast-forwardthefile andstopatwhereyouwantto splitthefile. · Files with the recording mode of [PCM48k] or [PCM44. 1k] are files recorded in the PCM format. 2 Whilefiledisplayappears, select [File Divide]inthe[File Menu]in themenu. · Please refer to P. 44, P. 45 for details on menu settings. Notes · The file split cannot be done when the file list is displayed. · The recorder cannot split files when the number of files in the folder exceeds 998. · After a file has been split, the original file will be renamed [Filename_1. WAV] and the new file will be named [Filename_ 2. WAV] · If a file has an extremely short recording time, it may not be split even if it is a PCM file. [. . . ] · Variations in the available recording time will arise as there may be differences in the available memory depending on the microSD card. · Caution is required, since the differences in the available recording time will increase when the bit count and bit rate are low. · Available recording time may be shorter if many short recordings are made (The displayed available recording time and recorded time are approximate indications).
