The OM77AF is a fully automatic SLR camera which incorporates the very latest in photographic technology in an incredibly compact form. Autofocus, programmed exposure modes and an optional Power Flash Grip 300 all facilitate problem-free photography. The following information is displayed at the appropriate time: Exposure mode Normal Flash mode display Battery condition Self-timer display Power focus ISO speed Exposure counter Autofocus Drive mode selected 65 OM Lenses While designed for a new series of Olympus AF lenses, the OM77AF can be used with non-AF OM lenses (although not in the AF mode), with the result that most Zuiko lenses, from the Fisheye to the tele-converters, can be mounted on the camera. The camera will automatically select the aperturepreferred AUTO mode and a shutter speed appropriate for the aperture selected by the photographer. This allows the user to vary depth of field for a variety of creative effects: a small aperture for a photograph in which everything is sharply defined, or a large aperture which, by blurring the back- and foreground, emphasizes the subject.
