Please read this manual thoroughly before making any connections and plugging it in. [. . . ] Tip: When you turn on or start playback on an Onkyo RI Dock that's connected to the CBX-300 with an cable and analog audio cable, the CBX-300 turns on automatically. Using Headphones Turn down the volume, then connect your stereo headphones to the PHONES minijack. You can adjust the volume and mute the sound as normal. The speakers output no sound while the headphones are connected. PHONES jack Adjusting the Volume CBX-300 Remote controller Press the VOLUME Up [ ] button to increase the volume or the VOLUME Down [ ] button to decrease it. You can also use remote controller's VOLUME [ ]/[ ] buttons. The adjustable range is: Min, 1, 2, 3. . . 39, 40, 41, Max. 20 CBX-300_En. book Page 21 Friday, September 15, 2006 9:34 AM Basic Operation--Continued Changing the Input Display You can choose the name that's displayed when an external input source is selected so that it matches the type of component that you've connected to the INPUT DOCK/LINE jacks. When you connect an Onkyo RI Dock, it's important that you select DOCK for to work properly. Select LINE if you connect a different component. DISPLAY PRESET EQ MUTING Muting the CBX-300 To mute the CBX-300, press the remote controller's [MUTING] button. "Muting" appears on the display for a few seconds. The MUTING indicator flashes continuously while the CBX-300 is muted. MUTING indicator only flashes continuously 1 2 Select the DOCK/LINE input source. Press and hold down the CBX-300's [DISPLAY] button until "Name DOCK" appears on the display. To unmute the CBX-300, press the [MUTING] button again. Tips: While the CBX-300 is muted: · Press the VOLUME [ / ] buttons on the CBX-300 or pressing the VOLUME [ ]/[ ] buttons on the remote controller will unmute the CBX-300. In All Folder mode, all folders appear at the same level, making it easy to select folders regardless of the hierarchy. Root Folder #1 File #1 1 While playback is stopped, press the [FOLDER] button. The CBX-300 enters Navigation mode and "Root" appears on the display. 2 Press [ENTER]. The name of the first folder one level down from root appears on the display. File #10 If the disc contains no folders, the name of the first MP3/WMA file is displayed. Playback will start with the specified file or folder and continue until all of the MP3/WMA files on the disc have been played. Number buttons FOLDER / ENTER To select an MP3/WMA file in another folder during playback, press the [FOLDER] button, select the folder by using the Previous and Next [ ]/[ ] buttons, and then press [ENTER].
