Special safety recommendations for this appliance: - The cutting blade is extremely sharp. CAUTION: Do not touch the blade while it is turning: it is dangerous. Disconnect this appliance before changing attachments or moving parts. - Always use the food fence supplied to push the meat towards the blade, unless the meat's size and shape prevent this. - Always place the appliance on a flat surface. - Do not cut very hard food such as frozen meat or meat with bones. - This appliance should be used with the slice collection tray and backing plate in position, unless the food's shape and size should prevent this. USING THE APPLIANCE When using the appliance for the first time: - Clean the appliance before using it for the first time, as described below under "Cleaning". - Place the appliance on a suitable work surface. - Open the meat slicer and place the carriage feeder so that the hook on the bottom fits in the sliding groove. operation - Adjust the slice thickness. - Place the meat to be cut on the carriage and push it gently towards the blade using the food fence. The blade will only turn while both buttons are pressed. A tip: If you want to cut very thin slices, dampen the blade with a damp cloth in order to prevent the food being sliced from sticking to the blade. Safety switch: This switch can be used to lock the slicer. [. . . ] - To enable easy cleaning of the blade, it can be removed as follows: - Turn the blade lock 90º to the left and remove carefully wearing a glove.
