Just below the top, on the front of the handset is a shallow oval concave. [. . . ] On the lower right of the keypad is the REDIAL button. The REDIAL button is also the PAUSE button. The indentation between the FLASH and REDIAL button is the microphone. The 2 metal ridges at the bottom of the handset are the charge contacts. The headset jack is on the left side edge of the handset, at almost the same height as the top row of the buttons. It has a rubber cover that is opened from front to back, and is not completely removable. Base unit With the base unit facing you, the antenna should be straight up on the right side, towards the back of the unit. The handset's charging cradle is on the left of the base unit. This is an inch deep depression near the front. For charging, the bottom of the handset gets put into the cradle with the handset buttons facing up. The handset must be placed in the cradle in an upright position. The unit will beep when the handset is properly placed in the cradle for charging. The control panel of the base unit is divided into three equal parts: left, middle and right. Left part: This part contains the telephone keypad laid out in the conventional telephone arrangement with a "nib" on the 5 button. Below the keypad are three oval buttons in a horizontal row: the left one is the FLASH button, the middle one is the REDIAL button, and the right one is the MUTE button.
