Handset
With the handset facing you, the antenna is a narrow 2 inch long protrusion at the top right. Just below the top on the front of the handset is a shallow oval concave. [. . . ] Below these buttons is the telephone keypad laid out in the conventional telephone arrangement with a "nib" on the 5 button. On the lower left below the keypad is the FLASH button. The FLASH button is also the CALL WAIT or PLAYBACK button. On the lower right of the keypad is the REDIAL button. The REDIAL button is also the PAUSE button. The indentation between the FLASH and REDIAL button is the microphone. The 2 metal ridges at the bottom of the handset are the charge contacts. The headset jack is on the left side of the handset, at almost the same height as the top row of the buttons. It has a rubber cover that can be opened by pulling down, and is not removable.
Base unit
With the base unit facing you, the antenna should be straight up on the right side, towards the back of the unit. The handset's charging cradle is on the left of the base unit. For charging, the bottom of the handset gets put into the cradle with the handset buttons facing up. The unit will beep when the handset is properly placed in the cradle for charging. [. . . ] To the left of these buttons, there is the IN USE indicator light. The IN USE indicator light is also CHARGE or HOLD indicator light. [. . . ]
