Handset
With the handset facing you, the antenna is a narrow 2 inch long protrusion at the top right. Just below the top on the front of the handset is a shallow oval concave. [. . . ] The FLASH button is also the CALL WAIT or PLAYBACK button. On the lower right of the keypad is the REDIAL button. The REDIAL button is also the PAUSE button. The indentation between the FLASH and REDIAL button is the microphone. The 2 metal ridges at the bottom of the handset are the charge contacts. The headset jack is on the left side of the handset, at almost the same height as the top row of the buttons. It has a rubber cover that can be opened by pulling down, and is not removable.
Base unit
With the base unit facing you, the antenna should be straight up on the right side, towards the back of the unit. The handset's charging cradle is on the left of the base unit. For charging, the bottom of the handset gets put into the cradle with the handset buttons facing up. The unit will beep when the handset is properly placed in the cradle for charging. The handset can be placed in the cradle in an inverted position. Moving toward the back of the unit on the right of the cradle, there is a large rectangular textured area. In front of the speaker to the left is a smooth rectangular area. Below the display is a row of 4 thin buttons. [. . . ] The HOLD button is also the LOCATOR or INTERCOM button. To the right of the HOLD button, 2 thin buttons are the VOLUME buttons with a raised "nib". [. . . ]
