For example, this telephone can be used within a network of base units and handsets, constituting a telephone system which: operates up to 6 handsets at one base unit. SMS Feature (Text Messaging)
Displaying/Reading a Message in the Incoming List
There are two ways to display the incoming message list. These are through the menu and via a shortcut.

Scroll through the incoming message list. *3 Select desired sender's detail. *4
Cordless Telephone
If the phone contains unread messages, the icon will remain on the display in the standby mode. *1 If "Received New SMS" is displayed, press MENU twice. *2 Number of new and total messages received are displayed. If the list is accessed and no messages have been received, "No Stored Memory" is displayed. If the base unit does not have sufficient memory to receive a message, the display will show "SMS Lists are full. The most recent sender's details are displayed. If the name and number have been stored in the phonebook, the name is displayed also. As SMS service provider may attach 1-digit number to the sender's phone number, the name may not be displayed even if the name and number have been stored in the phonebook. *3 If there is a " " icon placed against the time, this means the message has previously been read/displayed. You must set the clock before setting the time alarm.

To stop the time alarm: Time alarm will sound for 3 minutes. When the alarm sounds, press a dialling button, TALK, t, x or SPEAKERPHONE. The alarm stops and display returns to the standby mode. If "Once" is selected, the setting is turned off. When in talk or intercom mode, the alarm will not sound until the call is ended.

To exit the operation, press any time. *1 If you select one of the melody ringer pattern, it keeps ringing for 10 seconds even if a caller hang up a call. Therefore, you may hear dial tone or no one there after you answer a call.
