3 Select the file to be locked, and
press the [PUSH] Dial (38). The selected file is locked and the [ ] Indication 1 is attached. Repeat this procedure to lock 2 or more. Files recorded by Voice Recording Function is automatically locked (to prevent accidental erasure). Press the [PUSH] Dial (38) again to cancel. The SD Memory Card has a write protection switch. To erase a title, select [DELETE TITLE BY SELECTION]. 3 Select the file you wish to delete and press the [PUSH] Dial (38). The frame around the selected file flashes. To erase 2 files or more, repeat this step. 4 Press the [PHOTO SHOT] Button

Dial (38). The selected file is deleted from the Card. If [NO] is selected, the file selection is cancelled.
Deleting the Files Recorded on a Card
Using the Movie Camera, you can delete the files recorded on a Card. After the file is deleted, it cannot be restored.
To Select and Delete All Files 1 Slide the [TAPE/CARD/CARD MODE] Selector (27) to [CARD MODE] until the type of data to be erased indication appears.

Dial (38). All the files of the selected Card Mode ([PICTURE], [MPEG4] or [VOICE]) are erased. When you delete Voice File, be sure to cancel the Lock setting before deleting. Do not delete the Voice Files recorded with this Movie Camera using other devices.
Formatting a Card
If a Card becomes unreadable by the Movie Camera, formatting it may make it reusable. Formatting erases all the data recorded on a Card. 1 Set [CARD FUNCTIONS] >> [CARD EDITING] >> [CARD FORMAT] >> [YES].

When the formatting is completed, the screen becomes white. It may not be possible to use the Card which was formatted using this Movie Camera on another unit. In this case, format the Card on the unit which will be using the Card. [. . . ] When a new (previously unrecorded) Cassette is inserted, the Time Code automatically starts from zero. If a recorded Cassette is inserted, the Time Code picks up from the point where the last scene was recorded. (In this case, when the Cassette is inserted, the zero display [0h00m00s00f] may appear, but the Time Code starts from the previous value. ) The Time Code cannot be reset to zero. Unless the Time Code is continuously recorded from the beginning of a tape, accurate editing may not be possible. [. . . ]
