Slide the [OPEN] Lever to the right to open the Card Slot Cover.

Hold the MultiMediaCard with its cut-off corner facing right and toward the Movie Camera and insert it straight until it stops.

Before closing the Card Slot Cover, be sure to confirm that the MultiMediaCard is inserted correctly.
Close the Card Slot Cover securely.
The [ACCESS] Lamp
While accessing the MultiMediaCard (reading, recording, playing back, deleting, transmitting pictures), the [ACCESS] Lamp is lit. While the [ACCESS] Lamp is lit, do not open the Card Slot Cover and remove the MultiMediaCard, turn the Movie Camera off or switch the [TAPE/CARD] Selector. Doing so could damage the Card and cause a malfunction with the Movie Camera.

Be sure to turn the Movie Camera off before inserting the MultiMediaCard. Set the [OFF/ON/MODE] Switch to [OFF].

Concerning Mega-Pixel Still-Picture Recording
The Progressive Photoshot Function is set to [ON]. 34) When recording in the Auto Mode, the shutter speed is automatically adjusted to a setting within the range of 1/25 to 1/500. If the screen colours change or the screen flickers, adjust the shutter speed manually to 1/25, 1/50 or 1/100. 64) The picture quality deteriorates slightly when pictures are viewed on a TV screen or LCD Monitor. The width of the screen extends slightly. The four corners of the screen may become dark (vignetting) if filters or other optional items are attached.

Start Playback and press the [PHOTO SHOT] Button at the scene that you want to record. The picture stands still for a few seconds (when [PICTURE QUALITY] on the [CARD SETUP] SubMenu is set to [NORMAL]) while the picture is being recorded. It is recommended that you press the [;] Button first and then press the [PHOTO SHOT] Button.
The remaining number of pictures which can be recorded in the MultiMediaCard is displayed during picture transmission. When "0" is reached, the tape is set to the Still Playback Mode. The size of the pictures recorded on the Card is [640k480]. Pictures with wide-screen format signals cannot be copied.
