Press [VHS STATUS]. The time and operation details appear on the screen for about 5 seconds. CH 1 LR PAL 1 2 Channel display L and R indicators The Left (L) and Right (R) indicators show which sound mode is selected as follows: Stereo: Both the L and R indicators appear. During Jet Rewind: "J. REW" is displayed. Press [CANCEL/RESET] to reset the tape counter (elapsed time) to "0:00. 00". The tape counter is automatically reset to "0:00. 00" when inserting a video cassette. It will be incorrect if you set the wrong tape time in the "TAPE SELECT" item in the "OPTION" menu and if the tape is of poor quality. Cassette-in indicator Shows whether you have loaded a cassette.
