NEO:6 · The "CINEMA " mode is available for 2-channel stereo Dolby Digital and DTS sources containing surround data. The "MUSIC " mode is available for the same sources containing no surround data. · The subwoofer goes silent when you use NEO:6 on 2-channel stereo sources as long as all speakers have been set as "LARGE " in "Setting speakers and their sizes" (á page 39). SFC (Sound Field Control) · In the "PARTY " mode, when only one surround back speaker is connected and the center speaker is unused, the surround back speaker goes off. The center speaker goes silent when you connect no surround back speaker to the unit. · Sound may be distorted when the selected input source and SFC mode do not match. In such cases, lower the effect level in "Adjusting the effect level" (á page 33) or select another mode through procedures instructed on page 30. 31 RQT8979 Operations Listening to surround sound Control with HDMI (EZ SyncTM "HDAVI ControlTM") What is EZ Sync "HDAVI Control"?EZ Sync "HDAVI Control" is a convenient function that offers linked operations of this unit, and a Panasonic TV (VIERA) or DVD recorder (DIGA) under "HDAVI Control". You can use this function by connecting the equipment with the HDMI cable. See the operating instructions for connected equipment for operational details. · EZ Sync "HDAVI Control", based on the control functions provided by HDMI which is an industry standard known as HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Control), is a unique function that we have developed and added. As such, its operation with other manufacturers' equipment that supports HDMI CEC cannot be guaranteed. 1 Connect the unit to a Panasonic TV (VIERA) and DVD recorder (DIGA) under EZ Sync "HDAVI Control" using the HDMI cable. (It is recommended that you use Panasonic's HDMI cable.
