The surface must be able to support over 30 kg. Use wall strengtheners and screws that can adequately bear the weight of the speaker. As this speaker has a bass reflex port on the rear, attaching it to a wall can affect bass output. CAUTION Do not attempt to attach these speakers to walls using methods other than those described in these operating instructions. Put the front speakers either side of the television. Put the surround speakers to the side of or slightly behind the seating area. Put the center speaker above or below the center of the television, on a shelf or rack or attach to a wall. Placing it directly on the television can cause the picture to be distorted. The active subwoofer can be placed anywhere as long as it is a reasonable distance from the television. Fully tighten the speaker terminal knob, and then insert the end of the plug cable into the top of the knob. Do not move the speaker while the speaker cables are connected. Make sure to bundle the speaker cable with a string etc. Bi-wiring is possible if your amplifier also has two sets of speaker terminals [(A) and (B)]. You can thus enjoy an enhanced sound experience with greater presence and spread. Remove the shorting bars p before connecting the speaker cables and store them securely. These units incorporate protection circuitry to protect them from damage caused by excessive input or abnormal signals; when excess input is detected, input is automatically interrupted. Check the sound source and connections for any problems. If there is no problem, the protection circuitry will reset in a few minutes. Take care not to increase the receiver's volume too high. CAUTION The only receivers or amplifiers you should connect to these speakers are those whose rated output does not exceed the above figures. [. . . ] Using a receiver or amplifier with higher ratings than listed above can cause abnormal sounds to occur because of excessive input, damage to the receiver or speakers, and fire. If equipment is damaged in any way or unexpected trouble occurs during playback, unplug the system from its outlet and call a serviceman for help. You can damage your speakers and shorten their useful life if you play sound at high levels over extended periods.
