Troubleshooting guide

To establish a safe level: Start your volume control at a low setting. Slowly increase the sound until you can hear it comfortably and clearly, and without distortion. Once you have established a comfortable sound level: Leave it there.

Do not leave it in an automobile exposed to direct sunlight with the doors and windows closed as this may deform the cabinet. Do not situate where temperatures fall below 5 eC (41 eF) or rise above 35 eC (95 eF).

Auto power off function
If the unit is left in stop mode for approximately 10 minutes, the unit powers itself off automatically.
Key illumination
When HOLD is released, the unit's buttons light in different ways to indicate the operation.
To turn the illumination off, set to HOLD.

The buttons flash while recharging and stop when finished (2 to 3 hours). You can recharge the batteries before they are fully discharged. Fit the battery lid so it is secure and flush with the battery compartment if it comes loose, otherwise it can scratch your discs. Press the - end and lift out to remove.
The battery indicator
This indicator appears when the unit is on.
Conserving power
To save power when the unit is not to be used for a long time, unplug the AC adaptor from the household AC outlet. [. . . ]
