[. . . ] · The internal components of the display may be hot and cause burns. If the product is not correctly installed and adjusted, damage may result to the product. Make sure that all safety factors regarding strength of installation are observed. · If the installation strength is insufficient, the display may fall down and personal injury may result. [. . . ] Install so the screws and power cord do not touch metal parts of the wall. Insert the power cord plug for the Plasma Display into a wall outlet which is close and easily accessible. Provide adequate ventilation so that the temperature around the display does not rise above 35 . If there is insufficient movement of air inside the display, heat may build up inside the display, and fire may result. To set the display up vertically, you will also need the TY-WK42PV1 or TY-WK42PV7 vertical wall bracket. After installing the fan kit for vertical use and before attaching the back cover, do the following to avoid smoke, fire, or electric shock. · Check that all wiring is as directed. · Ensure screws and other metal objects are not inside the kit.

Attach the fan
1) Remove the rear cover from the display.
Place the display facing downward on a clean blanket or the like, and follow the steps below. TH-42PHD7

Remove bolts and screws (a, b, c) from the display.

Put the rear cover and removed bolts and screws to the side where they will not get lost.

2) Attach the fan

Before installing the Vertical-Mount Fan Kit on the display, pass the lead of connector SC46 through the lead clamper on the fan kit (TH-42PHD7 only). Install the fan at the locations shown in the figure on the left, using supplied mounting screws (M3).

Caution
· Be sure to position the fan correct in the display.

3) Attach the connectors

Remove the short coupler Z32. Secure the fan lead with the lead clamper located to the left of Fan A. Secure the fan lead at position B with the supplied lead clamper.

Secure the fan lead together with nearby wires with lead clampers. * Route the lead under the fan along the horizontal bar. (Be sure to secure the lead so that it cannot be trapped by the fan. ) Connect fan lead into connector Z32.

Remove the short coupler Z32 and Z33. Secure the fan leads with the lead clamper

located to the left of Fan A. Secure the fan leads together with nearby wires with lead clampers. Connect fan lead into connector Z32 and Z33.

4) Reattach the rear cover and insulating spacer
Install the four locations
Reverse the steps given above for removing the cover. Install the four pan head bolts ( pan washers ( ), toothed ) ) and insulating spacers (
that came with TY-WK42PV1 or TYWK42PV7. Install the remain screws.

Used for routing wires behind a wall
· The wall-hanging bracket TY-WK42PV1 weights approx. 6 kg (13. 2 lbs. ), TY-WK42PV7 weights approx. [. . . ] While lifting the display slightly, insert the lower insulating spacers on the display into the lower hanging holes in the wall-hanging bracket, then lower the display.

· Do not lift the display too high, otherwise it may become unhooked.

4) Tighten the fixing screws.

Caution
· Be sure to fix the left side fixing screws to stabilize the display.

Setting the fan motor software
Be sure to complete vertical mount settings by following the steps below:
Set fan speed to maximum with the vertical mount setting option.

1) Power on the display and press SETUP button on the remote control. The [SET UP] menu will appear.

menu then press SURROUND button on the remoto control for at least 3 seconds. The [Options] menu will appear.
