CHAPTER 4
Installing the ColdFusion for Microsoft IIS 7 Module
ColdFusion 8 for Microsoft IIS 7 is a Provider Extension which means it is an extension of another Provider module. In this case, the Provider that it extends is the Microsoft IIS 7 module. Therefore, in order to use the ColdFusion support module, you must first have the Microsoft IIS 7 module installed. For details on doing this, please refer to the Parallels 4. 1 Microsoft IIS 7 Provider Guide (http://www. parallels. com/en/products/helm/docs/). After installing this, you can then install the ColdFusion module.
To install the ColdFusion module:
1. Open the Parallels Helm Configuration Tool on your server. Click the Installed Modules button, and you will see all of the available modules for Parallels Helm. Find the ColdFusion 8 for Microsoft IIS 7 extension module in the list and check the box, and then click the Install/Uninstall Modules button to install it.
The ColdFusion 8 for IIS 7 module is now installed on your Parallels Helm build. Read on to learn how to use it in Parallels Helm.

Configuring ColdFusion for Microsoft IIS 7
The ColdFusion 8 for Microsoft IIS 7 module is a module that allows you to host sites which can support ColdFusion through IIS (sites that can use extensions such as . cfm).
To configure the ColdFusion settings:
1. Go to the IIS service you have set up: Home > Helm System > Servers > [Server] > Services > [IIS 7 Service] 2. Scroll down and you will the Microsoft IIS 7 ColdFusion details:
ColdFusion Admin Password: ColdFusion administrator password. ColdFusion App Path: The path to the ColdFusion DLL file on the server, which IIS uses to run ColdFusion. Script Supporting Extensions: The list of ColdFusion script extensions, like . cfm, . jsp. Map: The path to ColdFusion application map DLL. Scripts Directory: The directory for ColdFusion scripts (must be within DocumentRoot). Flash Remoting Dir: the path to the Flash Remoting service. ColdFusion Temp Directory: The directory for ColdFusion temporary files. Windows Font Directory: By default, C:\Windows\Fonts Excluded CF Tags: Here you may specify ColdFusion tags unsupported in your hosting. [. . . ] Enable ColdFusion is one of those services.
To enable ColdFusion support for a domain created:
1. Go to Home > My Plan Templates > [Template] and scroll down to the Provisioning Methods section. Click Add and give the provisioning method a friendly name (for example, Enable ColdFusion). [. . . ]
