[. . . ] GLOBAL BYPASS: This switch disables all functions except the input gain control and the subwoofer level control. When bypassed, the input circuitry still functions so that proper levels are passed through. This is especially necessary if the unit is used to shift signal level from ­10 dBV to +4 dBu to match outboard equipment. Illumination indicates bypass mode, but after living in color in OZ, the black and white of Aunt Em's farm will appear even more drab than when you left! Power chords played on guitar benefit as well. sUB WOOFER: Built into the kosmosTM is a 90 Hz subwoofer crossover. The subwoofer signal is the sum of the QUAKE output, the THUD output, and the low frequencies from the 90 Hz crossover network. POWER: This switch applies AC mains power to the internal power supply. When the unit is functioning, the blue power LED will illuminate. AC power is required even in bypass mode, since the unit has built-in active level shifting capabilities. The mains cord should be connected to the unit before connecting to a suitable AC outlet.
