A message will remind you when the timer recording was scheduled to begin. You may let the OTR continue; the timer recording will not take place. Or, stop the OTR and turn off the VCR immediately. The timer recording will take place if you turn off the VCR before the timer recording's scheduled start time.
28 Timer Recording
Follow the steps below to program your VCR to record TV programs while you're away from home. The VCR will turn itself on, record, and turn itself off automatically. Before you begin: q Set up the channels at the VCR. Make sure the tape's record tab is intact and the tape is long enough to record the program(s). The VCR/TV light will appear on the display panel. If it does not, press the VCR/TV button once. Do each step within 60 seconds of the previous step.

Helpful Hint
· If you need to make a correction while programming a timer recording, press the CLEAR button until the cursor is flashing on the item you want to change. Then enter the correct information.

Use the Number buttons (1-8) to select a slot in which to store the timer recording. Numbers for open slots will flash on the screen. NOTE: If you enter a number for a slot that has already been used to store a timer recording, PREVIOUSLY SET PROGRAM will appear on the screen briefly. Information about the program in that slot will appear on the screen. If this happens, press the STATUS/EXIT button, then select another number.
