GPRS settings
This menu allows you to enter or change the GPRS settings communicated to you GPRS Settings by your operator, which are: APN, Login and Password. All settings must be entered as given to you by your operator. Error messages during connections are mainly due to incorrect parameters: you should contact your operator before first use, in order to have the appropriate GPRS parameters.
This menu allows you to configure your phone and to handle the connection to the network, whether GSM or GPRS, in order to then connect to the appropriate server that will let you send and receive e-mails. All options described below are operator and/or subscription dependent. Press , , select Messages > E-mail > Mailbox 1 > Settings and press , . Select Network Access and press , .
GSM settings
This menu allows you to enter or change the GSM settings communicated to you GSM Settings by your operator, which are: Phone number, Auto disconnection, Login and Password. Phone Number: allows you to enter the phone number provided by your ISP and needed to establish a connection. Press < or > to select: - ISDN Nber to enter an ISDN ISP number, OR - Analogic Nber to enter an analogic number, then press , .
Bearer
This menu allows you to select the type of network used when launching a conBearer nection. GSM or GPRS: your mobile will only use the GSM or the GPRS network for e-mail connections. GPRS first: your mobile will first try to connect to the GPRS network, then to the GSM network if the GPRS network isn't available when connecting.

Contact your ISP to know what type of number you should select. Auto disconnection: allows you to select an inactivity time period after which the phone automatically disconnects (if a connection was is progress) from the network. Press < or > to select a value from 3 to 10min. The lack of exchanges with the network (connecting, sending an e-mail, disconnecting) defines the inactivity time period leading to auto disconnection. Login and Password were up to you when you subscribed to your account. Enter them also as defined.

POP3 address: allows you to enter the IP or DSN address of the POP3 server, which is used to receive e-mails. SMTP address: allows you to enter the IP or DSN address of the POP3 server, which is used to send e-mails.
