Setting the clock
Clock display
The display shows the time and also indicates whether you have switched on the alarm(s). [. . . ] 1
1 Press SLEEP once or more until your desired option appears: Display shows in sequence: 90 (minutes) -> 60 -> 30 -> 15 -> clock time (off) The sleep time appears briefly and the clock time returns. 2 To cancel sleep, press either: · SLEEP once or more until clock time appears. · POWER to switch off.
Repeat alarm
This will repeat your alarm call at 6-minute intervals. During the alarm call, press REPEAT ALARM.

Helpful hints: - The sleep function does not affect your alarm time setting(s).
Selecting the alarm mode
Press POWER to switch off. 2 Select alarm modes: FM, AM, buzzer or CD using the FM/AM/BUZ/CD selector. · At the set alarm time, the radio, buzzer or CD switches on and about 60 minutes later, switches off automatically. Helpful hints: - If CD alarm mode is selected, a CD must be inserted. The buzzer alarm option will automatically replace the CD alarm if you have forgotten to insert a CD. - If you have an alarm set in the radio or CD mode, make sure you have adjusted the volume loud enough to wake you up. 2
Repeat if desired up to 9 times.
Switching off the alarm completely
· Press ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 once or more until the AL1 or AL2 indicator goes out.

CD player and CD handling
· If you do not intend to use the CD clock radio for a long time, withdraw the power cord from the wall outlet. The lens of the CD player should never be touched!Sudden changes in the surrounding temperature can cause condensation to form and the lens of your CD player to cloud over. Do not attempt to clean the lens but leave the set in a warm environment until the moisture evaporates. Always shut the CD door to keep the CD compartment dust-free. To clean, dust the compartment with a soft dry cloth. To clean the CD, wipe in a straight line from the center towards the edge using a soft, lintfree cloth. Do not use cleaning agents as they may damage the disc. Never write on a CD or attach any stickers to it.

· · · Do not expose the set, batteries, CDs to humidity, rain, sand or excessive heat caused by heating equipment or direct sunlight. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing. Adequate ventilation with a minimum gap of 15cm between the ventilation holes and surrounding surfaces is necessary to prevent heat build-up. · The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc. . · No objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the appartus.
