BACKGROUND NOISE SUPPRESSION (BNS) When in noisy surroundings, to achieve a clearer and better defined voice recording, activate the BNS switch. The BNS system emphasizes the frequency range of the human voice while reducing both the high and low frequencies that usually comprise noise. If you like, use BNS with VOICE ACT during recording. If you do not wish to use the FLAT MIC built-in microphone, insert an external microphone with a 3. 5 mm plug into the MIC socket and point to the sound source.
