E ·MOD ESP 18 FEATURES Selecting different playing possibilities ­ MODE It is possible to play tracks in random order, to repeat a track or the CD and to play the first few seconds of each track. 1 Press ·MODE during playback as often as necessary until the display shows either: y SHUFFLE: All tracks of the CD are played in random order until all of them have been played once. y SHUFFLE REPEAT ALL: All tracks of the CD are played repeatedly in random order. y REPEAT: The current track is played repeatedly. y REPEAT ALL: The entire CD is played repeatedly. y SCAN: The first 10 seconds of each of the remaining tracks are played in sequence. 2 Playback starts in the chosen mode after 2 seconds. · To return to normal playback, press ·MODE repeatedly until the display indicator goes off. ·MOD E 19 English RADIO Radio play English You can tune to any FM or MW (or AM) station automatically or manually. 1 Press RADIO·BAND to switch the radio on. 2 Press RADIO·BAND if necessary repeatedly to select the desired waveband. y FM 1, FM 2, FM 3, FM 4 or MW (or AM) is shown. Tuning to radio stations automatically 1 Keep 3 or 4 pressed for at least 1 second. y The radio tunes to a station with sufficient strength and radio play starts. A (for "automatic search") and the current waveband and frequency are displayed. 2 Repeat searching until you find the desired radio station. Tuning to radio stations manually 1 Keep 3 or 4 pressed. 2 Release 3 or 4, then briefly press 3 or 4 again when you are close to the desired frequency. 3 Briefly press 3 or 4 repeatedly until you reach the desired frequency. Notes: ­ Avoid excessive heat from the car heating or from direct sunlight (e. g. ­ If your car radio has a LINE IN socket, it is better to use it for the car radio connection instead of the cassette adapter.
