During playback, press PLAY/PAUSE M on the remote control once. A still picture will appear on the TV screen. PAUSE will appear in the top left corner of the TV screen. To resume normal playback, press PLAY/PAUSE M again.

Time Search lets you choose a specific elapsed playing time at which you want to resume Disc playback.

Press SEARCH twice during DVD playback. On a DVD, the current Title number and the total number of Titles available will appear to the left of an empty TIME area.

Or, for a Video CD or Audio CD, press SEARCH once. GO TO - - : - - will appear.

Within 10 seconds, press the Number buttons to enter the elapsed playing time at which you want to resume playback. For a DVD, enter the amount of time in hours, minutes, and seconds. The time must be available within the current Title. For an Audio CD or Video CD, enter a time in minutes and seconds that is within the current Track. Playback will start at the elapsed playing time you selected. On an Audio CD or Video CD, you do not have to press OK. The Disc will start playing automatically at the time you specified after you enter the time.

Zooming lets you enlarge the video image during playback.

Press ZOOM a repeatedly during playback to select ZOOM X1. 5, ZOOM X2, or ZOOM X4. Play will continue as usual, but the picture will be one-and-a-half (ZOOM X1. 5), twice (ZOOM X2), or four times (ZOOM X4) as large as usual. To return the picture to its normal size, press ZOOM a again so ZOOM OFF appears briefly in the top left corner of the TV screen.

DVD Camera Angle
Some DVDs include scenes recorded from different angles. To watch segments from a different angle, follow these steps.

During DVD playback, press ANGLE } repeatedly to choose the angle you want. In a few seconds, playback will change to the selected angle. If different angles are not available during the current scent, may appear in the top left corner of the TV screen. If ANGLE MARK is ON, the Angle Mark appears in the top right corner of the TV screen during playback if multiple angles are available. Press the Number buttons to select a different angle. Or, press ANGLE } repeatedly as described earlier. [. . . ] Displays the video in full-width, with black bars at the top and bottom of the TV screen. This format is similar to seeing a movie in a theater. If the Disc does not include a letterbox format , selecting Letterbox may have no effect. (For example, some DVDs are two-sided, with one side playing in Letterbox and the other side playing in a normal format. ) DVDs may refer to Letterbox as the Widescreen format. [. . . ]
