To do this, turn the power-on knob to 0 (counterclockwise); this requires some more force than turning clockwise. Excess oil from the ingredients is collected on the bottom of the pan. If you prepare several batches of fatty ingredients (e. Drumsticks, sausages or hamburgers), carefully pour off any excess oil or rendered fat from the pan after each batch or before shaking or replacing the basket in the pan. 9 Remove the pan from the appliance and place it on a heat-resistant surface.
