INDICATIONS LED Charging Indicator Light The green LED Charging Indicator Light will light up to indicate razor is (re)charging. CHARGE CHARGING Battery performance is best if you recharge only when the batteries are (almost) completely empty. Charging or recharging at temperatures below 40ºF or higher than 95ºF adversely affects lifetime of batteries. Continuously recharging will reduce life of batteries. If razor has not been used for at least 1 month, razor must be recharged for a full 24 hours. Do not charge razor in pouch (model 4601X only). 1 Before charging, set Voltage Selector to desired setting. To change voltage from 115V to 230V AC, slide switch found on bottom of razor to desired voltage. 2 Connect cord to razor. Use only the cord provided. The green Indicator Light lights up to indicate razor is (re) charging. An adaptor plug may be necessary for cord usage in some foreign countries. 3 First time charging and recharging after non-use for 1 month or more requires a full 24 hours. Recharging (after initial 24 hour charge) requires 16 hours. 5. Every Two Months: Razor Heads 1 2 Turn razor OFF by locking switch to "OFF" position and disconnect from outlet. Remove Razor Head Assembly from housing unit. 3 4 5 Brush the inside of the housing. Turn Razor Head Assembly over so that the underside is exposed. Press down and turn wheel of frame counterclockwise. 6 Remove the frame and brush clean. 8. 7 Remove and clean one cutter and head at a time. · Be careful not to mix up cutters and heads. They are a matched set and if interchanged, it will greatly affect shaving performance. 8 9 Separate the cutter from the comb. Only brush the cutter in an upward motion. Use the short bristled side of the brush. 10 Brush the slots of the razor head. For optimum performance, razor cutters and combs should be cleaned in a degreasing liquid (e. g. Norelco Razor Cleaner, model RC1776, or alcohol) and lubricated with Norelco Razor Lubricant, model AL80, or one drop of mineral oil (in the center of the head).
