Manual abstract: user guide PHILIPS HS660

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] For the address of your nearest service centre or agent please contact our Customer Information Centre on telephone (008) 80 3312. Please read these instructions carefully in conjunction with the illustrations (pages 3, 40, 41 and 42) before using the appliance. â· Please bear in mind that your skin may need two to four weeks to become fully accustomed to the Philishave shaving system. Do not allow the shaver to come into contact with water. [. . . ] The Philishave system gives you a quick, close and comfortable shave. Just move the shaving unit quickly over the skin. For the best results stretch the skin to bring the hairs into an upright position. Then move the shaving unit against the direction of the growth of the hairs. The trimmer is not required for long hairs in the neck area; these hairs can easily be shaved off with the shaving unit. This guarantees maximum life from the rechargeable battery. â· Keep the cassette open if you charge the appliance in it. - Slide the on/off switch (C) downwards. - Insert the small plug firmly into the connector (E) up to the indication mark. Regular cleaning of the shaver means that less battery energy is consumed, so that more shaving time becomes available. â· The shaver will not be damaged by leaving it connected to the mains supply after it is fully charged. However, it is not advisable to charge the shaver permanently as this would shorten the life of the rechargeable battery. Always switch the shaver off before carrying out maintenance or cleaning. â· The rotating cutter blades of the Philishave system keep the shaved stubble neatly inside the shaving unit. In general, the shaving unit needs cleaning only once a week. Clean the guard slots using the short bristled end of the brush. Clean the inside using the long bristled end of the brush. Every three months If your skin is of an oily type or if you have been using a preshave lotion, this procedure should be carried out once a month. Then lift the cluster frame holding the shaving heads from the shaving unit. Slide one shaving head (guard and cutter) out of the frame. [. . . ] Replacement shaving heads Worn or damaged shaving heads must be replaced only with the original Philips replacement heads type HP 1917. Please note: You can also take the appliance to a Philips Service Centre. - Before removing the battery should be completely empty. - Unscrew the two countersunk screws at the back side of the shaver.
