[. . . ] As the proud owner of the machine, you can now experience the taste of a delicious cup of espresso or cappuccino in the comfort of your own home. When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following: 1 Read all instructions and information in this instruction book and any other literature included in this carton referring to this product before operating or using this appliance. 3 To protect against fire, electric shock and personal injury do not immerse cord, plugs or appliance in water or other liquid. 4 Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. [. . . ] â· When the machine is ready to dispense coffee, direct the steam pipe (14) above the drip tray, open the "hot water/steam" knob (16) for a few instants to discharge any residual water from the steam pipe; soon only steam will issue from the nozzle. Loosen the ring nut without slipping it off the cappuccinatore. Note: if the ring nut is not securely tightened, the cappuccinatore may slip out during use. Fill 1/3 of the receptacle you wish to use to make cappuccino with cold milk. For best results when making cappuccinos, the milk and the cup used should be cold. â· Immerse the steam nozzle into the milk to be frothed and turn the knob (16); turn the container slowly with up-down movements to achieve uniform frothing (Fig. After using the steam for the desired time, shut off the steam (16). â· The same method can be used to heat other beverages. â· Clean the steam nozzle with a damp cloth. Note: Should you wish to use big cups, raise the side door and rotate the steam tube; by this way, the steam tube can be further raised (Fig. This is particularly useful when you use the cappuccinatore. To dispense hot water using the cappuccinatore, follow the directions provided in par. 8; hot water will flow out of the lower part of the cappuccinatore. ENGLISH While hot water is being dispensed, the silicone tube inside the cappuccinatore must be inserted into the grating of the drip tray. Make sure the silicone tube cannot slip out while the machine is in use. Note: Insert the tube into the grating, so that to avoid any contact with dirty water or ground coffee residues; the risk is that the drip tray contents may be sucked up. â· When you have finished using the cappuccinatore and steam, clean the cappuccinatore to remove residual milk. â· Place a container filled with fresh drinking water alongside the machine and place the tip of the intake tube inside the container. â· Proceed as if you were making cappuccino, allowing the dirty water to flow into a receptacle or directly into the drip tray. The steam may be used to froth milk for cappuccino and to heat up beverages. The dispensing tube can reach very high temperatures: avoiding touching it directly with your hands. â· Position the cappuccinatore over the drip tray, open the "hot water/steam" knob (16) for a few seconds to discharge residual water from the cappuccinatore; in a short time only steam will issue from the tube. [. . . ] For more detailed information about recycling of this product, please contact your local city office, your household waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product. The display guides users and helps them to use the machine properly.
