To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to person do not immerse cord, plugs, or machine in water or other liquid. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. [. . . ] Wait until a steady jet of water flows out of the steam spout (Pannarello). At first use of the machine and after long periods of inactivity, the water circuit should be rinsed. It is therefore essential to follow the safety regulations carefully. Faulty cords and plugs must be immediately replaced by authorized service centers. appliance voltage has been pre-set by the manufacturer. Check that the power voltage matches the indications on the identification plate located on the bottom of the appliance. 3) - Place the power cord correctly, so that it does not interfere with the water tank. â· Fit the plug into a wall socket with suitable power voltage. This simple operation ensures an optimum brewing and must be performed: - at first start-up; - if the machine is to remain inactive for a long time. Do not remove the Portafilter by manually turning it clockwise, during the coffee brewing. Duringthisoperation, thebrewbutton(15)mayflashon and off; this is to be considered as standard operation and not a fault. â· Beforeusingthemachine, makesurethatthehotwater/ steam knob (3) is closed and that there is enough water in the tank. Themachine is now ready for coffee brewing. Note for cleaning: Keep the filter of the Portafilter clean, by removing and washing it with drinking water after each use (Fig. [. . . ] 6 Repeat the operations as described from step 5 until the water tank is completely empty. 4) - Rinse the water tank with fresh drinking water and fill it again. 7) - Turn the machine on by pressing the ON/OFF button (17); press the brew button (15) and by using the Portafilter, dispense the whole content of the tank. 8) - Fill the tank again with fresh drinking water.
