It lets your baby hear the soothing tones of your own voice, a lullaby or one of two other comforting natural sounds. [. . . ] Position the player on the inside of the crib so that the night light side faces the baby. Lock the stud into either hole, depending on the length you require. Make sure that the baby cannot become entangled in the strap!To access the controls swing the player out of the crib over the top bar so that the controls are facing you. Note: Older infants can also use the cradle player separately as a toy but first you must cut off the strap completely for safety reasons. To record your own message or sound for the baby set the rotary switch to the fourth position . Press the record button and speak into the microphone. You can record for up to 60 seconds or you can stop earlier by releasing the record button. Note that any new recording erases the old one. Sound selection microphone record button Use the rotary switch to select either: The sound of a heartbeat The sound of waves A lullaby The sound you recorded Use the switch at the side of the unit to set the playing time.
