To stop recording, press the STOP/w button. Tape Speeds This chart shows the recording/playback time for three types of video cassettes (T160, T120, and T60). There are three playback speeds: SP, LP, and SLP. During playback, the TV/VCR selects the tape speed automatically. 30 One Touch Recording
The one touch recording (OTR) function allows you to program an immediate timed recording from 30 minutes to eight hours long without setting the timer. Before you begin, make sure: q Channels are programmed. The record tab must be intact.

Press the REC(ord)/OTR button repeatedly, until the desired recording length appears in the upper right corner of the screen. The REC(ord) light will appear.

Helpful Hints
· To check the time remaining for an OTR after the OTR has been set, press the STATUS/EXIT button. · To change the recording length while an OTR is in progress, press the REC(ord)/OTR button until the desired recording length appears on-screen. · To cancel an OTR, but continue recording, press the REC(ord)/OTR button, then press the CLEAR button. · You cannot record if the TV/VCR is in Record Defeat mode. · You can change the tape speed with the (Tape) SPEED button while a recording is in progress, but some distortion may appear on the tape. · If the end of the tape is reached during an OTR, recording will stop. The TV/VCR will eject the tape and shut itself off. The REC(ord) light may flash.

To stop an OTR before recording is finished, press the STOP/EJECT button on the TV/VCR. Or, press the REC(ord)/OTR button, then press the CLEAR button, then press the STOP/w button on the remote control.
