About UPnP* enabled devices
The UPnP device can be a PC or other device running UPnP software.

To use the UPnP device with Center, connect Center to the UPnP network of the device (see 9. 2 Connect to UPnP device). To play the music library of your UPnP device on Center check that UPnP server software is properly installed and enabled on the device (e. g. Windows Media Player 11 or Philips Multimedia Manager). For more help refer to Windows Media Player. To play the music library of Center on the UPnP device, check with the user manual of your UPnP device to make sure it is able to receive music from other UPnP enabled devices.

Connect to the UPnP device

When connecting to the network of the UPnP device, you have the following options: · Connect wirelessly or through an Ethernet cable. For more information on the connection, see 11. Network settings: Connect to external WiFi enabled or wired home network. Connecting other UPnP clients to Philips Wireless Music Center may take longer than connecting a Philips Wireless Music Station to Center.

UPnP playback
Important!· You can only stream music files in non-protected MP3, WMA, or AAC (. M4A) format when WAC3500D is in UPnP mode. · You cannot stream video or picture contents. During UPnP playback, some playback features in the Wi-Fi network on Center will be unavailable, including Music Broadcast, Music Follows Me, Same Artist, Same Genre, Creating / Deleting Playlist, and Recording.

Play music from UPnP device
Important!If you cannot find the UPnP server on the network, refresh the UPnP mode of Center by changing the mode (press HOME key).

Check that the UPnP device is switched on. Switch off the firewall running on the UPnP¬ enabled PC during UPnP playback. Check that Center is connected to the network of the UPnP device (see 11. 5 Network settings: View connection status).
On Center: 4 Press HOME on remote control to select UPnP mode. > The display on Center shows a list of connected UPnP devices (up to 4 UPnP devices). (Server not found appears if there is no UPnP device found in the network. )
5 Use 3 or 4 and 2 to select your desired UPnP device. > The music library of the UPnP device appears on Center as well as on the UPnP device.
On Center: 6 Play the music library of the UPnP device in the same way as you play Hard Disk (HD) (see 6 HD).

Play or record to USB mass storage device
You can playback music from a USB device on Center. You can also transfer the music library to a USB mass storage device, so that you can carry your favorite music with you wherever you go.
