 [. . . ] This speaker stand should only be used with the SDV1000ST Pioneer speaker system.  [. . . ] 3 Run the the speaker cord from the top of the stem through the bottom (3),  along the side (4),  then out the back (5) of the speaker base. Align the 4 screw holes on the speaker base with the screw holes in the two stems,  then insert the screws and tighten. 5 Fix the satellite speaker in place using one of the silver screws provided. Depending on which way up you place the speaker,  you will either have a gray- or wood-colored top side. Make sure the speaker cord (from the stem) is long enough to reach the speaker terminals before fixing. Twist and pull off the protective shields on each wire. If you need to remove the back cover,  release it by pulling from the underside. Place the stand on a stable,  level surface; placing the stand on an unstable surface can be dangerous.
