To avoid battery fluid leakage, fire ignition and explosion, be sure to observe the following points. [. . . ] If the fluid attaches to your body or clothes, rinse well with fresh water. If the fluid enters your eye, immediately rinse with fresh water then consult the doctor. Store the battery pack in a place with temperatures from 15 to 25°C which is not subjected to high humidity or soot. Before using the battery pack for the first time, charge it as described below. Charging starts when the AC adapter provided with the player is connected to the battery pack. 5 hours for the PDV-BT20 and in about 5 hours for the PDV-BT25. The battery pack can be charged even when it is attached to the player. When the battery pack is attached to the player, the battery pack can be charged only when the player power is off. The charging stops whenever the player power is switched on. If the AC adapter is left connected, the indicator keeps on lighting in green. Charging is canceled due to other cause than abnormal temperature. Be sure to use the AC adapter provided with the player. When the battery pack is not used, remove it from the player and store it properly. If the AC adapter is unplugged and plugged in again when charging has completed (with the charge indicator lighting in green), charging appears to restarts for a short period (during which the charge indicator lit in red or amber), but the battery pack is already charged.
