After you have finished reading the instructions, put them away in a safe place for future reference. This product contains a laser diode of higher class than 1. [. . . ] For numbers 11-99, press >10, then enter the number. For numbers 100 and over, press >10 twice, then enter the number. For example, for track 46, press >10, 4, 6. Using random play Use the random play feature to play tracks on a disc in a random order. Random play is also canceled if the disc tray is opened, or you use the number buttons to jump to another track. Using repeat play Use the repeat play feature to repeat the current track, folder, or all the tracks on the disc. 1 During playback , press REPEAT (SHIFT and 4) to select a repeat play mode. Each press changes the repeat play mode: · Repeat track (the RPT-1 indicator lights) Repeat folder (the RPT indicator lights) Repeat disc (the RPT indicator lights) Repeat off If you stop playback or open the disc tray, repeat play is also canceled. Track name (also shows track number and elapsed playback time) Folder name (also shows folder number and elapsed playback time) Track remain / total time (also shows folder number and elapsed playback time) Encoding bit-rate (also shows folder number and elapsed playback time) Press DVD/DISP when the disc is stopped to display disc information. Use the MP3 Navigator to make searching for the track(s) you want to play easier. You can also use it to add or clear tracks from the program list. The left side of the screen shows a list of folders containing MP3 tracks. On the right side is a list of MP3 tracks from the first folder in the list. Navigate using the following controls: Cursor buttons ­ Select folders and tracks from the current screen. eNTER ­ Play the currently selected folder or track. MP3 tracks that are unplayable on this player are automatically skipped and the display shows `UNPLAYABLE MP3 FORMAT'. (Tracks in the program list are marked P) CLEAR ­ Clear the currently selected track from the program list. From this screen you can enter folder and track numbers directly to build up a program list. 3 Use the number buttons to enter a folder number. See page 56 (step 2) for how to use the number buttons. the number of folders on the disc is displayed in the top-left of the screen. Once you've entered a valid folder number, the title of the folder appears. [. . . ] ⷠOther electrical equipment, such as TVs, fluorescent lamps and motors can cause interference. Try switching off or moving the equipment, or moving the antenna(s). ⷠAuto tuning will only detect radio stations with a good signal. Auto tuning does not pick up some stations. [. . . ]
