Thank you for buying this Pioneer product. Please read through these operating instructions so you will know how to operate your model properly. After you have finished reading the instructions, put them away in a safe place for future reference. 4 Use the number buttons to enter the frequency of the radio station. For example, to tune to 106. 00 (FM), press 1, 0, 6, 0, 0.
· If you make a mistake while inputting the frequency, press the D. ACCESS button twice to cancel the frequency and start again.
Memorizing station presets
If you often listen to a particular radio station, it's convenient to have the receiver store the frequency for easy recall whenever you want to listen to that station. This saves the effort of manually tuning in each time. The receiver can memorize up to 30 stations, stored in three banks, or classes, (A, B and C) of 10 stations each. When memorizing FM frequencies, the receiver also stores the
MPX mode
If there is interference or noise during a stereo FM radio broadcast (the STEREO indicator is lit), or the radio reception is weak, press MPX (remote control only) to switch the receiver into mono reception mode (the MONO indicator lights). This should improve the sound quality and allow you to enjoy the broadcast.

1 Tune to a station you want to memorize. See Finding a station on page 25 and Tuning directly to a station on page 25 for more detail on how to do this. MEMORY then a blinking memory class (A, B or C). 3 Press CLASS to select one of the three classes. Press repeatedly to cycle through the three memory classes, A, B and C. 4 Use the ST +/ buttons (or the number buttons) to select the station memory number you want. Press repeatedly to cycle through the 10 available station memories in each class. 5 6 While the display is blinking, press ENTER. Repeat steps 1 5 to memorize up to 30 stations.
· To change a station name, just enter the new name over the top of the old one. To erase a station name, enter a new name of four spaces.
Listening to memorized station presets
1 Press the FM/AM button on the remote control. 2 Press CLASS to select the class in which the station is stored. Press repeatedly to cycle through the three memory classes, A, B and C. 3 Use the ST +/ buttons to select the station memory in which the station is stored. You can also use the number buttons on the remote control to recall the station preset.
Naming station presets
