[. . . ] On the Alcatel telephone, configure the Jack to accept a headset by selecting the following optionsinsequence: "Menu"/"Settings"/"Phone"/"Jack"/"Headset". You should also switch OFF the headset option on your Alcatel telephone (this option is used only for headsets that are plugged into the handset port). You can do this by selecting: "Menu"/"Settings"/"Forced Headset"/"OFF". Please read the following instructions before use: · UseonlywiththethePlantronicsCS60, CS70and SupraplusWireless, DECTTM systems and with the IPTouch and 9 series range of telephones from Alcatel. The AP-2 automatically handles hook switch control so there is no longer any need to remove/replace the handset when placing/ answering a call. The AP-2 also ensures that ringing indication is heard in the headset for an incoming call. The answer/end button on the headset changes just the phone hookswitch status. Note: There is a small delay between pressing the headset button and the call being answered or ended on the phone. When you press the talk button or dock the headset in the base to end a call, the phone hookswitch status changes and the link is dropped. The AP-2 then automatically re-instates the link so there is always a link between base and headset even when the headset is docked in the base. When returning the headset to the base it should be noted that this will cause the phone to change hookswitch status. This means, to end a call, the headset can be returned to the base and there is no requirementtopresstheheadsetbutton. [. . . ] Failure to comply with these conditions may render the warranty void.
