[. . . ] Stira&Aspira TOP has a suction function, to avoid creases on the clothing, so common with traditional ironing boards. The suction function also facilitates the ironing of creases in trouserlegs or pleats. The surface has a heating function too, drying clothes and making ironing even smoother, quicker and less tiring. The airing function inflate delicates fabrics so that it is possible to iron over with steam power only. ENGLISH The ironing surface is covered by a thick flannel and a cotton poplin cloth, these can be washed in the washing machine. [. . . ] · If in the future you need replace the ironing board fabric cover or the lining, always be sure that the replacement is permeable to humidity. Humidity resistant fabrics can be damaged by heat or moisture. · WARNING: The heated surface reaches high temperatures both on and under the cloth, so take care not to touch it. The plug (H) for your iron can be accessed by opening the cover (G). To operate the board, turn the main switch (D) on. In this way the board heater will start operation. Wait a few minutes to allow the heater to reach working temperature. It is now possible to activate blowing and suction features: AIRING: By pushing the function switch (F) on position (I), the board will allow you to swell the clothes with a "hot blow", in order to be able to gently skim with the iron the most delicate clothes, ironing them with steam only. SUCTION: By pushing the function switch (F) on position (II), the board will hold the clothes to the surface and eliminate the residual humidity. Notice: To avoid condensation forming inside the board, please ALWAYS use the suction function during steam ironing. CLOSING 1c. Switch off the general switch (D) and function switch (F). NOTICE: before putting away the board, leave the board heating (D) switched on for a few minutes so as to dry out any possible condensation formed during the ironing. Disconnect the plug from the power socket. Roll the feeding cable (I) around the fitted housing (J). Pull upwards the opening lever (B), always holding the board surface (A) during closing. Now the equipment can be put away. I M P O R TA N T · If repairs or replacement parts are required, use only original Polti replacement parts. · If it is necessary to replace the power supply cable, please refer to the nearest Polti authorised service centre, since the use of special tool is necessary. · In the case of breakdown or malfunction do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself but refer to your nearest authorised service centre. TO OPEN THE BOARD 1a. Pull upwards the opening lever (B) and raise the board to the required height, holding the surface (A). Activate lever (B) to fix the board at the chosen height. This appliance may be fitted with a non rewirable plug, if it is necessary to change the fuse in a non rewirable plug the fuse cover must be refitted. If the fuse cover is lost or damaged, the plug must not be used until a replacement, available from the appliance manufacturer, is obtained.
