CORRECT USE OF THE PRODUCT This appliance is intended for home use as a steam generator as described and in accordance with the instructions provided in this manual. Please read these instructions carefully and keep them, as you may find them useful in future. Polti declines liability for any damage or accident derived from any use of VAPORELLA which is not in conformity with the instructions contained in this booklet. Appropriate separate collection to permit recycling, treatment and environmentally compatible disposal helps prevent negative impact on the environment and human health and promotes recycling of the materials making up the product. P R E PA R AT I O N F O R U S E · Remove the water tank (5) from the appliance (fig. 1). · Remove the water filter (6) from the water tank (fig. 2). · Fill the water tank with water up to the MAX level marked on the water tank. Water, in nature, contains magnesium and mineral salts which aid limescale build-up. To prevent these residues from causing problems with your appliance, it is essential to use demineralised water. · Put the filter back into the water tank and put the tank back into the appliance, proceeding as described above in reverse order. · Insert the plug of the power cable (9) into a suitable earthed outlet. The appliance produces a sound signal and the "auto off" indicator light (3) starts flashing (green). CAUTION: it is important to make sure that the water tank has been filled up to the MAX level before you start using the appliance, to allow the filter to fill up. Check which type of ironing is advisable using the table below: Steam ironing allowed--set the dial to its MAXIMUM travel at the end of the 3 dots symbol on your Polti iron Steam ironing allowed--set the dial to its MAXIMUM travel at the end of the THREE (nb THREE, not two) dots symbol on your Polti iron DRY IRON only, with iron dial set at one dot. NEVER CALL FOR STEAM BY PRESSING STEAM REQUEST BUTTON when DRY ironing. See special instructions for DRY ironing in the instruction book.
