Insert the removable supply cable plug (9) into the built-in socket on the appliance (fig. 4). Plug the appliance into an earthed power supply of the correct voltage (fig. NEVER CALL FOR STEAM BY PRESSING STEAM REQUEST BUTTON when DRY ironing. See special instructions for DRY ironing in the instruction book. Neither steam nor dry ironing allowed. STEAM IRONING 1b. For STEAM ironing, turn the dial (7) and set the iron to its MAXIMUM travel on the "COTTON - LINEN" steam position (fig. 7). NB Set at its maximum, do NOT set against the picture of iron on the dial (7). Most fabric types, other than delicates can be STEAM-ironed at this temperature, please consult the garment label. If you want to DRY iron, set the dial (7) to the required temperature for the fabric as shown on the dial.
