To receive full value from the warranty, operator must maintain snow thrower as instructed in this manual. Some adjustments will need to be made periodically to properly maintain your snow thrower. All adjustments in the Service and Adjustments section of this manual should be checked at least once each season. · Once a year, you should replace the spark plug and check belts for wear. LUBRICATION CHART SAE 5W-30 Motor Oil See "ENGINE" in Maintenance section General Purpose Grease Pivot points BEFORE EACH USE 1. Check controls to be sure they are functioning properly. LUBRICATION Keep your snow thrower well lubricated (See "LUBRICATION CHART"). Auger grease fittings Engine oil SNOW THROWER Always observe the safety rules when performing any maintenance. Be sure to install klick pin into proper hole in wheel axle (See "TO REMOVE WHEELS" in the Service and Adjustments section of this manual). Be careful not to allow dirt to enter the engine. Refill engine with oil through oil dipstick tube. For approximate capacity see "PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS" section of this manual. Use gauge on oil fill cap/dipstick for checking level. Be sure dipstick cap is tightened securely for accurate reading. Keep oil at "FULL line on dipstick. MUFFLER Inspect and replace corroded muffler as it could create a fire hazard and/or damage. SPARK PLUG Replace spark plug at the beginning of each season or after every 100 hours of operation, whichever occurs first.
