BEFORE USING TOASTER FOR THE FIRST TIME Clean the outside of the toaster as described under "CLEANING". With the Browning controls adjusted to the maximum setting, operate the toaster without bread for 3-4 minutes. During this time the toaster may emit some odours. These odours are normal for a toaster being used for the first time. The room should be ventilated during this period. Allow the toaster to cool to room temperature.
