Before you create and configure a new modem using a connection, you must install the drivers on your PC. Wireless Modem To establish a connection using Wireless Modem 1. On your device, tap Start > Programs > Wireless Modem. In the Connection Type list, select IrDA. This allows you to connect your device via infrared to a PC. Important note Before you tap Start, make sure your device has a GPRS SIM card installed, and you have connected your device to a PC using an IrDA (infrared) connection, and disabled ActiveSync.
