6. PlacetheProRIDEon thevehicleseatfacing rearward. Connecteach mini-connectortotheanchor inthevehicle. Whilepressingonone armrestoftheProRIDE, pull thelooponthelatchstrap andtightenthestrap. Tohelp securelytightentheProRIDE, pressdownontheother armrestandagaintightenthe latchstrappullingtheloopon theoppositeside. Repeatasneededuntilthe ProRIDEcannotbemoved morethan1 inch (2. 5 cm) in anydirectionatthebeltpath. Thelevellineindicatoron theseatbaseshouldbe levelwiththegroundwhen thevehicleisparked. The backrestoftheProRIDE shouldbeatapproximately a45-degreeangle.

[. . . ] Problem: ThevehicleseatbeltisnottightfittingtotheProRIDE. Solution: Pressdownwardonthechildrestraintarmrestand firmlypulltheslackoutoftheseatbelt. Repeat pressingonotherarmrestwhilepullingseatbelt tight. Thiswillallowthechildrestrainttocompress thevehicle'sseatandallowtheseatbelttobe furthertightened. Ifseatbeltisnotlockingcall 1-800-8-RECAROforhelp. Refertoinstallation instructions, pages21-45.

Problem:TheProRIDEisnotstablewhendriving. Solution: hecktoseeifthereareitemsunderthebaseand C thattheseatbeltsaretightlysecured. Remove anythingfound. Somevehicleseatsaredeeply contouredmakingitdifficulttosafelyinstallachild restraint. IftheProRIDEisnotstableduetothe vehicleseatcushions, moveittoanotherseating location. Ifthesituationstillexists, pleasecall1-800-8-RECARO. [. . . ]
