However, due to great variation in vehicle seating shape and design, this child restraint is NOT suitable for all vehicle seats. Therefore, you MUST read and understand all of the information in the section, "Learning About Your Vehicle, " which covers the types of vehicle seats that CANNOT be used with this child restraint system. 1 If the backrest recline needs to be adjusted to properly fit your vehicle seat, follow these steps: 1. While holding the Vivo / Vivo lite seat cushion down, lift the backrest and rotate it to the desired position. The Vivo / Vivo lite backrest and bottom should fit close to the vehicle seat cushions with no large gaps. 2 2. You should be able to feel the backrest engage into one of the two positions. Double check by rocking the backrest forward and back that it is secure in one of the adjustment positions. 13 WARNING!DEATH or SERIOUS INJURY can occur · Do NOT use the child restraint when the child's shoulders are even with or above the red shoulder belt routing when the head restraint is adjusted to its highest position. · Do NOT use the child restraint when the child's ear is above the top edge of the head restraint when the head restraint is adjusted to its highest position. · Do NOT use the child restraint when the child's ear is below the bottom edge of the head restraint when the head restraint is adjusted to its lowest position. · NEVER make adjustments while the vehicle is in motion or while the child is in the restraint. 14 Section 6: Learning About Your Vehicle It is important to become familiar with the features of your vehicle so that your child rides as safely as possible.
