Thank you, and congratulations on your choice of the Roland PM-30 Personal Monitor. Before using this unit, carefully read the sections entitled ·IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS (page 2) ·USING THE UNIT SAFELY (page 35) ·IMPORTANT NOTES (page 5) Additionally, in order to feel assured that you have gained a good grasp of every feature provided by your new unit, Owner's manual should be read in its entirety. The manual should be saved and kept on hand as a convenient reference.

· Although the LED is switched off when the POWER switch is switched off, this does not mean that the unit has been completely disconnected from the source of power. If you need to turn off the power completely, first turn off the POWER switch, then unplug the power cord from the power outlet. For this reason, the outlet into which you choose to connect the power cord's plug should be one that is within easy reach and readily accessible.
· Use a cable from Roland to make the connection. If using some other make of connection cable, please note the following precautions. · Some connection cables contain resistors. Do not use cables that incorporate resistors for connecting to this unit. The use of such cables can cause the sound level to be extremely low, or impossible to hear. For information on cable specifications, contact the manufacturer of the cable. · Wrap the power cord around the cord hook when transporting or storing the unit.

· For everyday cleaning wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth or one that has been slightly dampened with water. To remove stubborn dirt, use a cloth impregnated with a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Afterwards, be sure to wipe the unit thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth.

· Never use benzine, thinners, alcohol or solvents of any kind, to avoid the possibility of discoloration and/or deformation.

Proper Use of the Casters
The PM-30 is equipped with casters, which make it easier to transport.
Attaching and Removing the Casters
You can attach or remove the casters as shown in the following figure.
You can attach or remove the casters as shown in the following figure. Be sure to remove all the casters when accidental movement may be dangerous, such as when setting up the PM30 on stage, or when transporting it in a vehicle. To prevent injury caused by the unit overturning or being dropped, two or more people should work together when carrying the unit.
If casters have been attached to the amp, make sure it is used only on a stable, level surface.

Attaching the Mount Bars and Clamps
1. As shown in the figure, turn the satellite speakers over and place them on the floor, then screw in the mount bars. * To protect the satellite speakers cosmetic appearance, place cloth or paper between the speakers and the floor surface when attaching mount bars. You can screw in the mount bars with less force by inserting a screwdriver or other rigid shaft into the holes in the side of the mount bars and grasping and rotating the shaft to screw in the bars. Take the satellite speakers with the mount bars attached to them and insert the ends of the mount bars into the clamps.

2. Loosen hand knobs (A) of the supplied clamps, and open the clamps.

Adjust the overall volume level with the MASTER VOLUME knob. * If the sound is distorting, lower the MASTER VOLUME knob, the V-DRUMS/CH1-CH3 VOLUME knobs, and the volume knobs on the devices connected to the V-DRUMS/CH1-CH3 inputs to adjust the volume until the sound is not distorted.
