The VP129 is designed to amplify an RIAA equalized phono signal to a Hi-Fi level signal, and is intended for magnetic pickups. Since the unit utilizes tube circuitry, the resulting output signal is more warm and musical than solid state preamplifiers. Unpack and Inspect the VP129 package Your VP129 was carefully packed at the factory in a protective carton. Nonetheless, be sure to examine the unit and the carton for any signs of damage that may have occurred during shipping. If obvious physical damage is noticed, contact the carrier immediately to make a damage claim. We suggest saving the shipping carton and packing materials for safely transporting the unit in the future. Please complete the Warranty Registration Card and return it to the factory, CONNECTION/OPERATION Connect your turntable to the VP129 as shown. The Outputs may be connected to an amplifier, recording device such as a cassette recorder or computer sound-card, or a tuner Aux input. Only use a Tip-Ring-Sleeve stereo plug in the Headphone Output. CONNECTING A MONO PLUG IN THIS JACK MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE VP129. Connect the PS12 to the unit and an AC outlet or power strip. Play a record on the turntable and adjust the Output Level and Headphone Level controls to the desired amounts. Switch in the Rumble Filter to eliminate very low frequencies if needed.
