[. . . ] Fitting the carbon filter Fit the carbon filter into its housing, by pushing it backwards and then forwards and fixing it with the two red buttons (Fig. Dismounting the carbon filter To dismount the filter, press the two buttons B and pull downwards (Fig. Use a cloth dampened with methylated spirits or neutral liquid detergent to clean the hood cabinet. [. . . ] Cleaning the grease filter The filter can be washed in a dishwasher or simply by soaking it in hot water and biodegradable detergent. Remember to wash the filter at least once a month. When washed in a dish washer, the grease filter may discolour slightly, but this does not affect its filtering capacity. -- If the hood is run at the same time as a burner or fireplace that depend on ambient air (for example gas, Diesel, coal or wood heaters, water heaters, etc. ) be careful, because the hood, when it exhausts the air, removes the ambient air required by the burner or fireplace for combustion. -- For secure operation and to prevent discharged gas from coming back in, the vacuum must not exceed 0, 04 mbr. This may be done by making sure the air inlet into the room passes through nonclosing openings such as air recycling wall boxes, doors, windows or with other technical measures. -- No food must be cooked flambé underneath the hood. The use of an unprotected flame is dangerous for the filters and could cause fires. Therefore, never use an open flame under the hood. When frying foods, never leave the pan alone because the cooking oil could flare up. -- The manufacturers refuse to accept any responsibility for damage to the hood or its catching on fire because of failure to observe the above instructions. To use this hood function, ask your supplier or service centre for some carbon filters. Specify the hood model so as to enable the correct number of carbon filters for your hood to be determined. Air is filtered through the carbon filter and recycled into the room by means of an appropriate upper outlet grid. This version is used when there is no discharge piping to the outside or when it is not possible to install the piping. [. . . ] Before making the electrical connection check that the current supplied corresponds to the technical specifications indicated to the technical data plate located inside the hood. The hood may be supplied with a standard plug and if so, connect it to a correspondingly standard socket. If the appliance is not fitted with a plug, either fit a plug conforming to regulations or a two pole switch conforming to regulations with an opening distance between contacts of not less than 3mm.
