By default, DVDs either begin playing automatically or display a start-up menu as soon as the disc is inserted. See DVD Playback in the Setup section of this manual for information. The PLAY button usually starts play from the beginning of the disc, except after the PAUSE button has been pressed. In this case, the disc will resume playing from the current location. The RTC-970 also has a resume feature that restarts play at the current location after pressing the STOP button once during playback. There are other methods of locating specific selections on a disc, including direct access with the NUMERIC buttons and using the On-Screen Menu features. See Playing Specific Selections for details. Typically, you select these audio tracks with the disc's setup menus which appear when you insert the disc or which can be accessed during playback by pressing the MENU button. In addition, you can change to an alternate audio track during playback by pressing the AUDIO button on the remote. The Status Bar display shows the current audio track description and its number. Press the AUDIO button repeatedly until the desired audio track is selected. Select Chapters from DVD Menu DVD-Video discs usually have scene selection menus that display the selections on the disc on the TV screen.
