For this warranty to apply, the unit must be installed and used according to its written instructions. Use one pair to connect GND (GROUND) and IR (SIGNAL). Use the other pair to connect ST (STATUS) and V+ (+12VDC). Connect the shield or drain to the ground at the connecting block ONLY, leaving the shield or drain disconnected at the 858P. Connecting in this method will help reduce induced noise. See Figure 1 for detail of these connections. · Plasma-friendly - can be placed near plasma TVs and displays. · CFL-friendly - allows installations in areas with compact fluorescent lighting. When the receiver is on, the power supply will turn on the system status line and illuminate the LED Green of the 858P Plasma In-Wall. The status line can be turned on or off by setting the jumper on back of the 858P Plasma Wall as shown in Figure 4.
