Keep the cord away from sources of heat, oil and sharp edges. Use clamps or a vice to hold the workpiece. It is safer than using your hand and it frees both hands to operate the tool. Get into the habit of checking to see that all keys and adjusting spanners have been removed from the tool before turning it on. Depress the trigger again to release the lock. To reverse the direction of rotation of the bit, stop the driver by releasing the trigger and push the reversing switch (4) to the right or left. When the reversing switch is set to the LEFT the screw driver will turn clockwise (seen from the handle end of the driver). Depress the trigger and once the motor is running, push the tool forward to start screwing or unscrewing.
